This year’s Summer Learning Challenge is all about students having choices and seeing what they’ve learned in the world around them! Every student can choose what they’re interested in and learn more about it. The top participants at each campus get a DS Summer Learning T-Shirt.
Reading: READ WHAT YOU WANT! Keep a reading log of title, pages, time, and short summaries (a few sentences) of your reading.
Math: OBSERVE and REPORT! Math is everywhere! Watch for numbers, shapes, measuring… Write about problems and solutions!
Writing: WRITE WHAT YOU WANT! You can write a story, poem, an opinion piece, research a topic that interests you and report out.
Science: OBSERVE WHAT YOU WANT! Observe nature, moving objects, observe reactions in mixing things together, just be safe!
Arts: CREATE WHAT YOU WANT! Make or study music, paintings, photos, films, or sculpture. The more you express the better!
To enter the challenge, simply visitthis form. Make your entries based on what you want to participate in the weeks that you participate and you’re entered. Take pictures and videos on social media (parent accounts if under required age) with the hashtag #DSSummerLearning.
