Board Election Voting: April 28-May 8, 2025
After the Board Development Committee has finished the nomination process, it then will create ballots that include candidate bios. Candidate information and voting instructions will be listed on this site. Each student’s parents and/or legal guardians will have one vote. Each school employee will also have one vote.
Once all votes are in and tabulated, the new appointed Board of Directors will be notified, sign the Board Member Profile Agreement, and take their place on the Board of Directors at the August board meeting. (Terms start on July 1st, but the board does not meet in July, so new members will begin their service at the August meeting.)

DUE by MONDAY, APRIL 14, 2025 to be included on the ballot.
All SIX board member positions are open for re-election this year.
The Board of Directors must be composed of at least five members, each serving a one year term, who are not related to one another, with at least one of each of the following: 1) a licensed teacher or other licensed educator employed by MELA; 2) a parent or legal guardian who is not an employee and has a child currently attending the school; and 3) a community member who is not an employee or parent of MELA. Immediate family members of school employees, non-teaching employees of MELA, and employees of MELA's vendors are not eligible to serve on the Board.
